With a vote on Nevada County’s medical marijuana ballot measure just two months away, the local Democratic Central Committee has made it the subject of one of their First Tuesday Educational Forum Tuesday evening, April 5th. Political Outreach Committee Chair Paul Berger says it’s not a debate of Measure W but what’s called a “frank discussion”…

Berger says the forum will start with a 10 to 15-minute presentation from each speaker…

Then both speakers will respond to selected written questions from the audience. Measure W bans outdoor cultivation of medical marijuana in the county, while allowing 12 plants to be grown indoors. Berger says attendees are encouraged to arrive around 5:30 this evening for the social period, which also has free pizza, salad, and beverages. He expects a big turnout at Peace Lutheran Church, at 828 West Main Street in Grass Valley.
