It’s a tradition that s been underway for 27 years at Seven Hills School in Nevada City. Its the “Medieval Feast” and parent volunteer Celiese Rogers says the students, in their Medieval period costume will make a parade to the Miners foundry this morning.
She says the three classes of 7th graders are split into three kingdoms and each has a ruler .
Student, TJ Parnow explains how he advanced in competition to be the Pope.
It was a similar academic competition for the queens of the kingdoms, Megan Schreck is one of them.
At the Miners Foundry parents and other volunteers will be serving the Medieval feast…there will also be games like jousting and medieval dances. The kids always have a really good time and learn something about a bygone Era.
