Meeks seeks NID seat

John Meeks has no beef with the job his Penn Valley neighbor Nick Wilcox is doing as a Nevada Irrigation District director. But Meeks is running against Wilcox for the board of directors of the Grass Valley-based water agency. Meeks explains his motivation.

Meeks, a retired teacher who worked for the Los Angeles Unified School District for 26 years, says he has no philosophical or engineering differences with N.I.D. director Wilcox.
The election will be held Nov. 6.  Meeks has run two previous times for a seat on the N.I.D. board.
