Revenue from the hydro plants could be the main funding source for the reservoir. Scherzinger says a specific cost and financing plan won’t be determined until after the environmental analysis is completed. But the estimated cost is 200 to 300 million dollars. It’s hoped construction can begin in 2021, which is also the year NID marks its 100th anniversary, and why the reservoir has the Centennial name. Tonight’s public meeting is from 6 to 8 at the Grass Valley Holiday Inn Express. Tomorrow night’s meeting is also from 6 to 8 and will be held at Forest Lake Christian High School on Combie Road. The deadline for submitting written comments is March 17th.
