Men Take More Active Role in Grocery Shopping

More men doing the grocery shopping these days. According to Education Specialist Molly Plumb of the UC Cooperative Extension Program more than half of men shop more often than their spouse.

Plumb says that regardless of who is doing the shopping as the weather warms up, what’s important is to follow these food safety practices.

Its also important to separate raw meat, poultry, seafood, and eggs from other foods while shopping and storing groceries.
Also check that fresh cut fruits and vegetables, such as packaged salads and pre-cut melons, are refrigerated at the store.
