A Grass Valley man had to be subdued before being arrested on 6 felony and 3 misdemeanor charges near a Cedar Ridge market. Sergeant Justin Martin, with the Nevada County Narcotics Task Force, says officers had been conducting a surveillance outside the Y Market at the time…
The drug was methamphetamine. Martin says one of the men was 36-year-old Zackary Giguiere. He says Giguiere then ran to his vehicle…
Martin says Giguiere rammed a patrol vehicle twice before putting his car into drive and trying to speed off. But the car then became stuck on a guide wire to the store sign. Martin says Giguiere continue to struggle with officers, who had to taser him before handcuffing him. Giguiere also had two outstanding arrest warrants on drug-related offenses: one in Nevada County and one in Placer County.
Richard
Another one of Nevada County's finest! Are they going to slap his wrist, like the last guy similar to this one? Are they going to "give him a chance to clean himself up"?
How many chances should he get? A dozen?
Come on, lock-em up and keep him in there! These are the kind of people who will not stop until somebody ends up dead. Look at the loser who killed Drew Renyolds, he had a history, he ended up back on the streets and killed a UPS driver head on with a stolen truck.
Jane
I agree with Richard. How many felonies is one man allowed? Use my tax dollars to keep this man locked up until he proves to society that he can handle the "outside" and has a skill to obtain a job.
Ryan Giguiere
oh yeah, I forgot the part where my brother had no clue they were police officers. Unmarked car wearing street clothes. Have a nice day Richard and Jane!
Cabbie
& because they r in plain clothes/cars negates YOUR HERO brother's responsibility/RIGHT to deal HIS drug of choice in an area of question by ANY law enforcement...
mmmmm, BRO get a new hero! Even comic book heros didn't need their little bro making excuses for them.
Ryan Giguiere
Cabbie, of course he is not my hero, nor do I agree with his choices. To your suprise I agree with you. I feel he should have to go to prison for his crimes. This article, however, does not give an acurate account of the events that happened that afternoon. Please dont be so quick to judge next time Cabbie.
