Mid-Morning Accident on Sacramento Street Onramp

A single vehicle accident near  the onramp to the Golden Center Freeway at west bound Sacramento Street is causing some traffic slowdown in the area. CHP Officer Grag Tassone says a call came in just after 9:00 AM Monday of a vehicle off the road. When CHP and the fire department first arrived they were unable to locate the incident.

The single vehicle was a full-size pickup.

Traffic in the area is blocked while trucks with extra long cables are trying to remove the truck from the steep embankment.
The woman driver received minor injuries and declined medical treatment after climbing up the steep ravine on her own.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
