A couple parked in the dirt area on Dog Bar Road at the Bear River Bridge were surprised when a sheriff deputy came upon them around 2:00 AM Tuesday. Sheriff Keith Royal says the male driver of the vehicle had a head mounted light and was looking at something in the car.
Based on what he could see, the deputy had the driver, 38 year old Arnold Brinker, get out of the car. At that time Brinker admitted to having a small amount of methamphetamine. A further search of the vehicle located several quantities of packaged marijuana.
The deputy then turned his attention to the female.
The investigation is ongoing, but Arnold Brinker was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility for drug related charges including possession and transport of a controlled substance and paraphernalia.
