Miller, making the comments during his final ‘Monday with the Mayor’ session yesterday. Miller says other highlights of his term include Grass Valley moving from a City Administrator to a City Manager form of government, the passage and implementation of Measure N, the creation of two Lieutenant positions in the Grass Valley Police Department, and the Chamber of Commerce moving across the street from City Hall and opening a visitors center. Miller says one disappointment, though, was that they couldn’t come to an agreement with other agencies on a shared fire chief…
Miller leaves for the Board of Supervisors, and will be sworn in to that office on January fifth. Vice Mayor Jason Fouyer recalls runnig for City Council with Miller four years ago…
Miller mentioned that he went to high school with Fouyer’s dad. Miller will be recognized for his service during the early part of tonight’s City Council meeting.
