Young musicians between Junior High and College age who are interested in expanding their talent are invited to apply for Music In the Mountains Young Composers Project. Educational Director Mark Vance says the 9 month program coincides with the school year and students will be learning to write music and fill the gaps of what they don’t know about music theory, music history, conducting, and other skills.
Students will go on field trips to gain inspiration for their Compositions.
Last year it was a collaboration with Animal Save Sanctuary .
Music In the Mountains can take up to 25 students for the Young Composers Project. Applications can be found on their website and the deadline to apply has been extended to Monday (Sept. 7)
