If you have been listening this past week to the morning news, our news anchor and station news director, Rita Stevens, has been taking some well deserved time off. And now that time off will be extended. Rita had a medical emergency that required some surgery. Now, please know…she is doing fine and will be better than ever very soon. But she will need to take some time to recuperate. So, as she does, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery, so she can be back doing the things that she loves, like riding her bike, spending time with her grand kids, quilting…and delivering the morning news. You can send well wishes to the station…or you can send them online as well. And, thanks to Geoff Flynn for stepping up in her absence.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Rita. I hope "the smartest woman on radio" is back in action soon.
