Barr told authorities he was driving on a dirt road, when apparently an ATV passed him and cut him off. In an attempt to avoid the ATV Barr swerved off the roadway and drove over numerous rocks damaging his vehicle. Barr was able to get his vehicle back on the roadway and continued driving until his vehicle became disabled. Barr stayed with his disabled vehicle until he was ultimately located by USFS personnel.
