Missing Man May be in Local Area

Elk Grove Police are asking local residents to be on the lookout for a missing man who may have traveled to Nevada County.

January 1, 2013 – In effect for the following counties: Sacramento, Placer and Nevada Counties.  Robert Grappi (Mp), 82 year old white male, 5-02, 142 lbs, grey hair, brown eyes, drove away from his Elk Grove, Ca residence at 1530 hours on 12/31/2012 following a verbal argument with his wife.  Missing person’s possible destination was his son’s rural residence on Casci Road in Nevada County, CA but missing person never arrived.  Missing person previously resided in Grass Valley, CA prior to moving to Elk Grove 1.5 years ago.  Missing person wears a pacemaker and needs heart medication daily.  Missing person did not take any medication with him.  Missing person has weak legs and cannot stand or walk for more than a few minutes.  Missing person uses a cane.  Missing person may have undiagnosed dementia and has exhibited increased confusion and forgetfulness recently.  Missing person has no other friends, family, or known possible destinations.

Missing person was last seen wearing a black jacket over a white t-shirt and blue sweatpants.  Missing person routinely wears an American flag or other patriotic pin on his shirt.  If located, immediately contact Elk Grove Police Department dispatch (916) 714-5111.
