More Fire Prevention Funding To Be Available

Another round of fire prevention and forest health project funding is being made available by Cal Fire and the Department of Forestry. Applications are being solicited to tap into 240-million dollars next year. The Executive Director of the Fire Safe Council of Nevada County, Jamie Jones, says this is the second available round for them. These grant programs are part of California Climate Investments. That’s a program that puts billions in cap-and-trade dollars to work toward reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
