The latest marijuana bust by the Nevada County Narcotics Task Force occurred on Grizzly Hill Road Thursday morning, in the Nevada City area. Officers executed a search warrant on a 91-acre property which was owned by three people from the Sacramento area. No arrests have been made yet. But detectives say they located about 300 plants inside greenhouses. They also found one valid medical marijuana recommendation, but for just 19 plants. Two shotguns and a rifle were also seized. The Department of Fish and Game is also expected to file charges for illegal grading, as well as disruption to a stream that runs through the property. In May, when a Fish and Game Warden and detectives followed illegally graded roads they say the three people admitted to setting up the cultivation sites and would be eventually growing for a collective out of the Concord area. Code Enforcement is also expected to find violations that include hazardous wiring and piles of solid waste.
