More Marijuana Raids

Tens of thousands of marijuana plants have been ripped up by law enforcement. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says two separate marijuana growing operations were being attributed to the Mexican drug cartels. The Sheriff says the first marijuana raid was in the area of Floriston near Truckee.

In the second marijuana raid, Sheriff Royal says over four thousand plants were ripped from the growing area in the national forest.

Federal, state and narcotics investigators took part in the raids. Sheriff says the growing operations are a danger because they are in the national forests open to the public. All; the indications were present  even no one was at either garden, that Mexican drug cartels were behind the operations.
