Last year, PG and E conducted second patrols on 68,000 miles of power lines. This year they expect to fly over 73,000 miles, with about 10,000 of those miles by helicopter. Merlo says removal of hazardous trees can be challenging…

Communities in Nevada County that will be covered include Lake of the Pines, Lake Wildwood, Rough and Ready, and Bridgeport. Merlo says more patrols are scheduled through September and possibly into October, depending on weather conditions.
