More Phony Recycling Labels On Products

There continues to be confusion regarding what items can actually be recycled or get a cash redemption. And Waste Management officials in Nevada County say a lot of the responsibility lies with the manufacturer. Meanwhile, Waste Management District Manager, Larry Picard, says a new law, signed by the governor in October, is designed to crack down on manufacturers placing symbols on non-recyclable products and packaging that end up going into a landfill…

Companies have until January 2024 to comply. You’re also reminded that many items that go in a customer recycling bin have no cash redemption value.
