More Rain Means Extreme Weather Shelter Reopens

With as much as five more inches of rain predicted today and tomorrow in the foothills, one extreme weather shelter will be open for the next couple of nights. It’s the shelter at the Veterans Hall in Nevada City, run by Sierra Roots, at 415 North Pine Street. The hours of operation are 4:30pm through 7:30am. The Salvation Army’s shelter in Grass Valley will not be open on these nights.
