More Rain Means More Accidents In Nevada Co

The latest rain once again kept the Highway Patrol busy Monday. Late Monday morning, there was a 2-vehicle accident between an SUV and a motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was 38-year-old Mihai Algiu of Nevada City. Both drivers had minor to moderate injuries. Cornwall says driving at unsafe speed for the weather conditions triggered the crash. Then early Monday afternoon, CHP Officer Nate Woodall says a driver of a mini cooper had stopped on Highway 174 to make a left turn onto Greenhorn Road…

There were only minor injuries. The names of the drivers were not available. Woodall says there was also another, non-injury, rear-end collision when a driver failed to slow down in time for the backup.
