New Raises Approved For Nevada Co Employees

More raises are ahead for Nevada County employees. The Board of Supervisors has approved salary hikes for the next three years for 40 deputies, 21 department heads, and 6 elected officials. Human Resources Director Charlie Wilson says it’s 3-percent for the next 2 fiscal years and 2-percent for the third year. Wilson says the county has budgeted 554-thousand dollars for the next fiscal year to cover the raises. He says that’s a much better amount, compared to the lean financial times during the recession.
