The latest stormy weather is keeping Cal Trans crews busy again in Nevada County. Spokesperson Liza Whitmore says they had to clear a tree Tuesday morning that fell across the Highway 20 Mill Street offramp. There was also another rock and mudslide on Highway 49, just north of the South Yuba River Bridge, that had to be removed. Also Tuesday morning, there was some flooding reported on Highway 49 at Indian Flat Road, near the Rood Center, as well as on Highway 174, between Meadow View and Laws Ranch Roads, which has subsided. And Highway 20 has now re-opened, from Nevada City to the I-80 junction, after flooding in multiple spots, mainly in the Bear Valley area…

Whitmore says updates on road conditions can always be found on the QuickMap link of Cal Trans website. Meanwhile, Lefty’s Grill in Nevada City is closed again, due to high water from Deer Creek.
