Motorcycle Accident in Alta Sierra

A Grass Valley man was driving his motorcycle too fast in Alta Sierra Saturday around noon. CHP Officer Justin Barnthouse says an accident happened on Alexandra Way near Joseph Drive. A 53 year Grass Valley man riding his 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle went into a turn too fast and collided with a 1998 Dodge pickup coming in the opposite direction. Officer Barnthouse says the motorcyclist’s head and body took the majority of the impact in the accident.

The motorcycle rider was wearing a helmet and only suffered broken bones. The rider was taken to the hospital for treatment of his injures.The accident remains under investigation.
