Motorcycle Toy Run Set for Saturday

The 22nd Annual Nevada County Food and Toy Run will parade from the Rood Center to the Nevada County Fairgrounds this  Saturday December 14th.  The event brings motorcycle Santas from all over the west  to deliver toys and food . Toy Run founder, Thom Staser  was recognized for the effort with a special resolution by the Nevada County Board of supervisors yesterday.

The Toy Run is a charitable drive by motorcycle enthusiasts to benefit Head Start, and Big Brothers and Big sisters, by providing needy families with gift donations of food and unwrapped toys. Since it’s inception over 150 tons of food and toys have been collected. The Toy Run consistently draws over 1,400 motorcyclists from Northern and Central California , Western Nevada and Southern Oregon and over 11,000 spectators. The Nevada County food and toy run motto is “Every Child will have a Christmas….We will make sure.”
