Motorcyclist Shot Near Truckee

Police are investigating the deadly shooting of a motorcyclist on westbound Interstate 80 in Nevada County. Officers received reports of a traffic collision just before three o’clock Saturday afternoon near Overland Trail, east of Truckee. Investigators believe the victim – who was pronounced dead at the scene – was shot multiple times by another group of motorcyclists. Investigators have not released a description of suspects or a motive for the shooting.
