Motorcyclist Trys to Evade CHP

A CHP officer repeatedly tried to stop a motorcyclist in the Grass Valley area Saturday morning. CHP Officer Marc Morrison says an officer tried to make an enforcement stop on a man riding a 1991 Harley Davidson motorcycle. The rider indicated he was going to stop, but then increased his  speed with with the CHP behind him. The rider again indicated he was pulling over at the Pine Creek Shopping Center in Grass Valley but officer Morrison says the motorcyclist again fled at a high rate of speed as he proceeded on Freeman Lane to Allison Ranch Road.

After being treated at Sierra Nevada Hospital for his injuries, the motorcycle rider from North San Juan was booked into jail for suspicion of evading an officer and being an unlicensed driver.
