Mudslide Displaces Cascade Shores Residents

The latest atmospheric river of water that is falling on Nevada County has caused some issues in Cascade Shores.  Eight homes on Mountain View Drive are under mandatory evacuation due to a landslide that started moving down toward the homes yesterday. The evacuation is a precautionary measure but Engineers called to the scene consider the situation unsafe. Temporary traffic controls are in  place near Mountain View Drive. All of the evacuees had a place to stay so the county did not open an emergency shelter.
