Multi-Agency Task Force Makes Arrest at Boreal

Plain clothes officers from the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office, Truckee Police Department, and Alcohol Beverage Control came upon a couple of suspects while working as part of an under-age alcohol related sting operation at Boreal Ski Area over the weekend. According to Sheriff Keith Royal, the officers smelled burning marijuana as they walked through the parking lot of the resort.

The individual smoking the marijuana cigar was cited and released.
The other occupant, 28 year old Gustavo Arriaga of Stockton, was arrested for possession of cocaine and booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
