Multiple Arrests at Local Motel

What started as a one room observation at a local motel ended with over a dozen arrests for drugs, weapons, warrants, and parole and probation violations in Grass Valley this morning. Sgt Jason Perry says Grass Valley police were responding to a complaint about people apparently staying in a room at the motel on East Main Street that was supposed to be unoccupied.

As a result of the contact and investigation over a dozen arrests were made and suspects were taken to the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility in a jail transport vehicle. Perry says the number of arrests and rooms involved kept increasing as the investigation developed. One arrest was the result of an individual on parole driving into the parking lot during the incident.

Names of the suspects and exact amounts of drugs were not available at that time of the report.
Multiple members of the Grass Valley Police Department, the Nevada County Sheriff’s Narcotic Task Force, and State Parole were involved with the incident.
