Mystic Mine District Voters Approve Tax Increase

The approval of Measure D means the parcel tax will go from 120 dollars a year to 200 dollars, and then an increase to 250 dollars a year in 2021. Wedgbury says the next step is to prioritize the projects, mostly road projects, that need to be done. They will do that at their meeting next month…

The district covers about a hundred parcels near Rough and Ready. Early returns show ‘yes’ votes outnumbering ‘no’ votes 65 to 15, which is 85 percent. The measure needs two-thirds approval to pass.
