National Night Out Draws Huge crowd to Memorial Park

The National Night Out event in Memorial Park with Grass Valley Police was a huge success last evening.

Grass Valley Police Chief Alex Gammelgard says besides the great turnout, lots of kids had fun running through the Color Run where they got sprayed with biodegradable powder paints, and lots of local citizens had a chance to talk to their local police officers.

The Nevada County Citizens for Safe Parks group worked with the police department to put on the event again this year. That group got started
to get more people using the park by hold ing more events in the park and cleaning it up.
