National Night Out Fills Broad St. Nevada City

There was a larger crowd participating in National Night Out in Nevada City last evening. Police Chief Tim Foley says that may be because they had more room for the event by blocking of a portion of lower Broad Street.

Officers are training on them now and will be out on traffic patrol by the end of the month. The dunk Tank was also a big hit.

Out of 31 throws Chief Foley got dunked 15 times. He says between the dunk tank and sales of tee shirts and a raffle, about $300 dollars was raised to go to the upkeep of Rudiger, the Departments K-9 officer.
