Nevada county Consolidated, Nevada City Fire, Grass Valley Fire, Ophir Hill fire, and Cal Fire all responded to the scene.

The Firefighters will have spring street blocked off for the day as they continue the investigation of what caused the fire.

Fire units also responded for a reported multi residential structure fire in the 400 block of Henderson street in Grass Valley yesterday afternoon at 3:00p.m. . The first arriving engine found a mattress fire in a downstairs apartment. The fire had been contained prior to arrival by occupants of the building who used portable fire extinguishers. The fire was contained to the box spring and mattress with smoke and heat damage to the wall. The occupant of the apartment suffered a second degree burn to her foot but denied medical treatment. Crews remained on scene approximately 1 1\2 hours with overhaul and investigation.
