NCHS Speaker Night Features Local Author Chris Enss

The life and times of one of the nation’s most notorious crime families will be the topic of the Nevada County Historical Society Speaker Night event Thursday evening Feb. 16, featuring local historian and author Chris Enss.  Enss will talk about Ma Barker and her son’s, criminals that also spent some time in Nevada County in the 1930’s.

Ma Barker was born in the Midwest and had 4 boys. She and her sons ended up Numbers 1 through 5 on the FBI’;s most wanted list.

Nevada County Historical Society Speaker Night is Thursday evening (Feb. 16) at 7 pm at the Sierra Presbyterian Church at the corner of Ridge Rd. and Zion St. in Nevada City. The event is free and open to the public and runs for about one hour.
