Rigby’s stories illustrate how connected Marysville, Grass Valley and Nevada City were to each other in the early 1900’s, something completely forgotten in our own time. Smith is also active in the Smartsville Church Restoration project; and successfully spearheaded the campaign to get the S returned to Smartsville which was finally accomplished in 2008.
