Nevada City 2012 Elza Kilroy Award- Steve Davis

The Nevada City Chamber of Commerce recently named its winners for the six annual awards of excellence the Chamber gives out each year.  Seven Hills School teacher, Steve Davis, has been named recipient of the prestigious 2012 Elza Kilroy Award for outstanding community service.
Nevada City Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Cathy Whittlesey, says Steve Davis’  contributions from his Recycle Bicycle Project makes Nevada City a better community.

The Bicycle recycle Project has also provided rebuilt bicycles to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore Shop where they are sold and proceeds are split between Habitat and and Seven Hills Schools.
Steve Davis and the five other chamber award winners were nominated and selected by the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.    The awards will be presented at the Nevada City Chamber of Commerce 111th Installation and Awards Dinner on February 2nd at the Miners Foundry in Nevada City.
