Nevada City City Council Meeting Tonight

The Regular meeting of the Nevada City city council is tonight (Wednesday) and on the agenda, new Police Chief Jim Wickham will give his first report to council. Chief Wickham has several recommendations.

Police Chief Wickham will also proposes a couple of ordinances to control drug sales and smoking in the historic district.

Chief Wickham says public lodging or camping under bridges and in cars in the downtown also needs to be addressed and he would like the council to consider an ordinance to regulate the issue. The Nevada city, city council will meet at city hall at 317 Broad Street in Nevada city at 6:30 this evening.
