Nevada City Council to Discuss Pot Ordinance

They’ve approved an ordinance allowing marijuana dispensaries, now the Nevada City City Council will tackle a medical marijuana growing ordinance. The council meets this evening, and that’s one of the items on the agenda. There was an ordinance that banned all outdoor grows, and allowed six plants indoors, but a clerical error prevented that ordinance from going into effect. The new draft ordinance, approved by the Planning Commission, is similar to the old one. Public comment will be taken. Tonight’s meeting starts at 6:30 at City Hall.
