The Nevada City Elks Lodge is once again this year paying tribute to all law enforcement officials with a complimentary special steak dinner.  Elks House committee Member Janis Woolsey says it’s something they do to thank the officers.

Woolsey says they try to get the word out to all law enforcement and she has sent notice to all the local departments.

Woolsey says she has also been working with a retired officer who is helping her get in contact with all the Law Enforcement retirees in the community.

Last year they served about 190 dinners. Reservations need to be called in by May 8th so they will know how much food to purchase. Guests are also welcome to attend for $15 per person. The number to call to make reservations is 265-4877.
