The 15th Annual Nevada City Film Festival opened Thursday night and will have a full 4 day run of activities.

Jesse Locks is the Festival Director. While the focus is on local filmmakers there are many International Films, Animation and Children’s programs as well as documentary films and comedy. Opening night takes the viewers to Africa.

Savatori used a film crew of a lot of locals and the film is narrated by award winning actor Danny Glover and The two hour feature film is about the musicians the culture and the dancers of Mali in West Africa..
Other films are from South Africa, the UK, Spain, Mexico City, and the first ever film from Iran.

Close to a hundred films will be shown and there is a final after party Sunday evening at Ole Republic Brewery in Nevada City.
