Nevada City Foot Patrols Expanding in December

The Nevada City Police Department has already taken proactive steps to use Measure L address citizen requests for more visible patrols in town and public areas as well as use of funds to be provided by Measure L. Police Chief, James Wickham, explains how foot patrols will be expanded beginning December 1st.

Community Service Officer Jack Ward will continue to work mornings during the month of December. Yellow zones, red zones, double parking, no smoking in the historical district will continue to be enforced.

Patrol Officers will continue to walk patrol in both the Historical District and 7 Hills Business District.
