Nevada City Hosts Chinese New Year Parade

You can welcome the “Year of the Monkey” Sunday in Nevada City. The Community Asian Theater of the Sierra will be hosting a Chinese New Year celebration, complete with a parade, which will start at noon at the Chinese Monument on Commercial Street, march down to Union Street, and then loop back to Robinson Plaza. CATS Executive Director Jeannie Wood says there will be plenty of entertainment to follow…

There will also be food vendors and exhibitors, and Wood says the Firehouse Museum will be open from 1 to 3pm…
