Nevada City Man Arrested in Murder for Hire Plot

Nevada County Sheriff’s Narcotics officers were able to stop a murder for hire this week. Sheriff Keith Royal says the narcotics task force intercepted phone calls placed by 50 year old David Bricknell of Nevada City.

Bricknell was on probation and a search was conducted. Bricknell was found to be in possession of a hand gun and marijuana plants. Bricknell was charged with the solicitation of criminal acts, and ex-felon in possession of a fire arm, Prior conviction of possession of a deadly weapon with intent to assault, violation and the marijuana charge.
