A Nevada City man detained for alleged construction site theft over the weekend has ended up being arrested on 11 separate charges. Grass Valley Police Sergeant Clint Bates says officers responded initially to another report of suspicious activity near the site, on Ryans Lane. They soon after pulled over 58-year-old Gregory Goode near Ridge Road. They found one 16-foot piece of lumber in the back of Goode’s pickup that was believed to have been taken from the site. Goode is also a convicted felon. A search of the pickup was soon after conducted…
The lumber theft charge is a misdemeanor, the drug charge is a felony. Goode is charged with 4 felonies related to the gun possession, since convicted felons can’t have guns. Bates says Goode is also facing another felony charge for switching license plates with another vehicle…
Bates says although a lot of other suspicious vehicles have been seen near the construction site, no other thefts have been reported. He also did not have any information on Goode’s prior conviction.
