On Wednesday (June 27) the Nevada City Council considers sending a letter to the South Sutter Water District opposing the dam. If council members approve the letter, they’ll join Nevada County and Placer County Supervisors in taking a stand against the project.
Critics of the dam contend developer-dominated water districts in Southern California are paying for a study of the project through South Sutter, a small agricultural water district west of Lincoln.
South Sutter spokeswoman Kim Floyd could not be reached for comment.
The Nevada City Council meets Wednesday (June 27)  at 6:30 p.m.
