Nevada City Motorcyclist Injured In Solo Crash

Moderate injuries are reported to a 23-year-old motorcyclist from Nevada City involved in a solo crash and also believed to be driving under the influence of alcohol. The Highway Patrol says William Morgan was headed westbound on Highway 20 toward town near Steep Hill Road when he failed to successfully negotiate a curve, going off the edge of the road. He then collided with a wooden post, shearing it in half, and was then ejected from the motorcycle,  ending up in a drainage ditch north of the highway. But he escaped serious injury, with complaint of back pain and minor lacerations.
