Nevada City PD K9 Officer’s Human Partner Selected

After a rigorous testing process the Nevada City Police Department is pleased to announce that Officer Michael “Scott” Goin will become the department’s new Canine handler and will partner with our new Canine Officer, who will be named “Rüdiger.”  Officer Goin will begin the process of selecting his partner and they will together begin the intense training process. The Nevada City Police Department anticipates that Officer Goin and K-9 Officer Rüdiger will be patrolling the streets of Nevada City and Grass Valley by mid-summer.
