Nevada City Police Start Beard Challenge For Charity

Foley says four officers have decided to be bearded through the end of March, each contributing 15 dollars dollars a month. And although he’s not participating, he is matching the $60 contribution and challenges other members of the community to match that amount as well. There’s also a beard contest for the officer with the best-looking beard. Foley says it’s the Friendship Club that will be benefitting…

The Friendship Club provides a year-round, youth development curriculum for over 500 area school-age girls.
