Nevada City Supports County’s Purchase

Nevada City has given its blessing to the county’s plan to purchase the Bank of America building, and keeping the District Attorney’s office there. Governments are exempt from that ordinance. The City Council passed a similar resolution at their meeting last week, supporting the idea. The county is in negotiations with Baker Tindle Properties to buy the B-of-A building. Buying instead of leasing is estimated to save 200-thousand dollars a year. The purchase would still have to be approved by the Nevada County Board of Supervisors.
