Richmond, Virginia, one of Nevada City’s rivals in the Best River Town contest by Outside Magazine, says it’s won the vote that’s part of how the magazine will name the winner.
Phill Riggan writes for Richmond.com and says not only did Richmond run away in the vote that left Nevada City third among ten towns but Outside Magazine has been in Richmond.
Outside Magazine is using more than the just the vote to select the Best River town. The quality of comments by supporters of the 10 finalists about why they want their town named also matters. If Outside Magazine does select Nevada City for its October cover story, Riggan says hel’ll accept that.
